Cecropia Moth Sculpture

This sculpture is created from various types of paper.  Each wing and leaf is cut from paper and painted with acrylics.  The body of the moth is made from plaster and covered in tiny strips of paper. The leaves for this sculpture represent a host plant of the moth species.  It's a very intricate process.  This sculpture hangs from the wall and takes up an area about 8x10 inches.
